10歳よりスズキ・メソードでピアノを始める。15歳で全課程を修了。高校卒業後にロシアに渡り、モスクワ音楽院・同大学院を修了。
ラザール・ベルマン国際ピアノコンクール第1位ほか多数入賞。ピティナ・ピアノコンペティション特級にて銅賞受賞。また、ピティナ特級入賞に際しては、既にピアノ指導も始めており、史上初の「特級入賞＆新人指導者賞受賞」としても注目を集めた。
2016年のデビューアルバム「トロイメライ ~ピアノ名作集~」を皮切りに、現在までにCD4種類のリリースと3種類の楽譜を出版している。
現在は、福岡と東京を拠点に演奏と指導に取り組む傍ら、編曲作品の演奏や音源からの採譜・出版などにも力を注いでいる。
名陽木工製のオリジナルピアノ椅子を使用して独自のピアニズムを確立しており、唯一無二の存在感を放っている。名陽木工アンバサダー。
Born in Fukuoka, Japan, Kyohei Imaizumi started his piano education under Suzuki Method at the age of 10, and completed the entire course at 15. He finished both his undergraduate and graduate studies at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in which he received the highest score at the graduate entrance exam, in Russia.
His past awards include 1st place at the Lazar Berman International Piano Competition along with the Piano Asia Award, Special Semi-Finalist at the PTNA Piano Competition, among many others nationally and internationally.
He has been an active concert pianist since his education in Moscow. His past activities include Japan Quake commemoration concert at the Moscow Conservatory, solo recital hosted by the Japanese Consulate General in Khabarovski, duo recital hosted by Japanese Consulate General in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, performance at the Japanese Emperor’s birth anniversary celebration at the resident of Ambassador of Japan, performance at the cerebration of “Japan Year in Russia” and “145th Anniversary of Rachmaninoff”, performance at the Rachmaninoff Museum of Ivanovka, and 26th and 27th New Name Music Festival performance in which he also acted as a Judge on the second year for their competition.
His past teachers are Kyoko Nakajima, Yasue Tanaka, Masashi Tanaka, and Vladimir Ovchinnikov. He has also participated in the masterclasses by Mikhail Voskresensky, Ilya Rashkovskiy, Shuku Iwasaki. Beside from his usual solo and ensemble performance activities, he also performs across different genre such as collaborating with folk singers. He is also a dedicated teacher as well as judge of different competitions.
